ARINC is seeking a Database Developer to work in their Corporate Headquarters located in Annapolis, Maryland. This position will support our Defense Systems Engineering & Support Division (DSES). The DSES Division provides system engineering and integration services and solutions to aviation, space, maritime, and electronic systems programs for DoD and Homeland Defense.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a secure database for storing and analyzing high-volume transaction data. Candidate will work in a team of analysts and engineers, including real-time software and parallel processing experts.

Responsibilities include:
•Implementation of complex ETL code
•Oracle 10g database analysis and design
•Creation or alteration of database tables, constraints, indexes, triggers, sequences, views, and roles
•Creation and modification of SQL procedures and scripts
•Performance and tuning of SQL statements
•Participate in design meetings
•Creation, modification, testing and documentation of ETL mappings, transformations and workflows utilizing Transformation Manager and ER Studio software
•Creation and modification of Unix shell scripts
•Working closely with DBA for performance tuning Qualifications Required Experience:
Five (5) years of strong Oracle experience including SQL, PL/SQL, and database design in a data warehouse environment, experience tuning complex SQL, experience with very large database tuning.

Education or Certification Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, math, statistics, or engineering.

Desired Experience: Familiarity with multi-dimensional data storage/processing technologies including H-Space, Oracle Spatial, Resource Description Framework (RDF)
