ARINC’s San Diego office is currently seeking an Aircraft Electrical Engineer to support our Defense Systems Engineering Division. The Aircraft Electrical Engineer will report to the MH-53 CNS/ATM Chief Engineer and will be responsible for performing the following types of tasking:
Develop technical diagrams, drawings and written procedures/processes for incorporating complex avionics system upgrades on aircraft using existing aircraft data and newly-developed engineering.
Provide hands-on system integration engineering and installation oversight support (in a technical advisory capacity) to avionics design and integration teams in a prototype environment.
Provide prototype engineering support to avionics integrators by troubleshooting installation design issues during installation.
Assist Project Managers in acquiring new contracts by providing technical support. Qualifications Required Experience: The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of progressive avionics integration experience with an emphasis on the creation of engineering specific to the installation of aircraft electrical/avionics systems. Specifically, 2 of those years will consist of acting in a technical advisory capacity while supporting avionics design and integration teams in a prototype or production environment or developing aircraft electrical wiring harness drawings, wiring re-termination/removal drawings and aircraft wiring strip lists. Some travel will be required in the execution of these duties. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information.
Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering desired. Preference may be given to candidates with an Electrical Engineering degree or significant design experience in lieu of a BSEE.
