ARINC's Charleston, SC office is currently recruiting for an Air Traffic Control Specialist to support our Defense Systems Engineering & Support division.

This position will:
- serve as an air traffic control (ATC) advisor and technical expert concerning operational aspects of Department of the Navy shore-based ATC
- Provide operational recommendations to air traffic control engineers as they develop Base Electronic System Engineering Plans (BESEP), Radar Siting Analysis (RSA), and other technical documents, studies, and white papers to ensure that safety is paramount and not sacrificed
- Interface with customer’s operational advisor
- Support site surveys and action groups addressing new requirements, procurements, and fleet evaluations
- Interface with various levels of Department of Navy ATC management including Federal Aviation Administration, TYCOMs, NAVAIR, CNIC, OPNAV, and HQ USMC as it relates to airspace and air traffic control management Qualifications Required Experience:
- Minimum of twenty years operational experience in shore-based ATC
- Requires an in-depth knowledge and current operational experience in the Department of Navy shore-based ATC
- Minimum of two of last four years experience in supporting airspace management efforts
- Proven established connection at all levels of Navy management including TYCOM, NAVAIR, CNIC, and OPNAV. Time in management should include scheduling and surveillance of airspace
- Demonstrated experience in planning, design, and management of ATC facilities and equipment
- Demonstrated experience in planning, design, and management of airspace
- Applicant should be familiar with configuration control boards, ATC Facility modernization, ATC Facility Baseline Planning Criteria, and Naval Air Training and Operational Procedures Standardization Program (NATOPS)

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
