ARINC’s Charleston, SC office is seeking a SolidWorks/AutoCAD Designer to support our Defense Systems Engineering & Support division.

This position will:

- Create complex 3-D models and assemblies utilizing SolidWorks using technical specifications, sketches, digital photographs, and guidance from engineers
- Create and direct lower level drafters in the creation of complex illustrations utilizing AutoCAD that include multiple views, detail drawings, assembly drawings and supplemental information using sketches, digital photographs, and guidance from engineers
- Draft and design multiple complex electronic assemblies
- Create arrangement drawings, elevation drawings, foundation drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, parts details, block diagrams, cabling and wiring diagrams, cable running sheets, circuit card assemblies, and schematics
- Use mathematical formulas to compute weights, load capacities, dimensions, quantities of materials, etc.
- Select required information from precedents, manufacturers' catalogs, and technical guides Qualifications Required Experience:
- Twelve years drafting experience with a minimum of five years experience in the electrical/electronic drafting field and at least two (2) years specialized experience in design drafting
- Must have a minimum of six years experience using SolidWorks and six years experience using AutoCAD

Desired Experience:
- DoD/Navy (ATC) drafting experience and knowledge of standards, processes and procedures
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat is desirable

Education or Certification Requirements:
- High school diploma required
- Associate's degree preferred
