ARINC’s Defense Systems Engineering & Support Division in Panama City, FL is seeking an Electromechanical Designer to support various projects for our DoD customers.
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Provide Electromechanical design and drafting support in order to develop Government Technical Data Packages (TDP).
•Use CAD equipment to provide support to customers by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams.
•Create and revise production electro-mechanical drawings.
•Make complete drawing packages; checking the dimensions of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole assemblies or project.
•Sketch rough layout of design concept and computes angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and location of holes.
•Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, raw materials, processes and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
•Work with a variety of customers, both internal and external across all levels of the organization, in order to complete project objectives efficiently. Qualifications Required Experience:
The successful candidate will have at least eight or more years of detailed drafting experience. This position requires CAD experience, DoD drawing experience, and a strong knowledge of basic drafting principles and standards. This position requires a self starter with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. This role must demonstrate the ability to complete major layout and engineering drawings of complicated components and assemblies. Previous experience in developing electro-mechanical engineering drawings to ANSI Y14.100 standards is also required.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information.
Desired Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of drafting software applications and drafting principles and standards within a military or government environment. Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T)certification desired. Previous FEA experience is desired.
Education and/or Certification requirements:
2 years of Technical School or equivalent advanced training. AS in drafting or technical illustration preferred.
