ARINC’s Defense Systems Engineering & Support Division in Panama City, FL is looking for a Machinist/Assembler to perform duties in support of fabrication to various mechanical programs.
Specific Responsibilities include:
•Fabricate component parts where set-ups are non-routine and tolerances are difficult to acquire and maintain.
•Provides support in the development and repair of prototype hardware; fabricate/install sheet metal and component parts.
•Additionally, candidate may be required to assist in the set-up and operation of a wide variety of machine tools and equipment in order to fabricate sheet metal and component parts from drawings or sketches.
•Perform other tasks such as system assembly and welding work. Qualifications Required Experience:
The successful candidate will have three or more years machine shop experience. Ability to operate a variety of machine tools to close tolerance including Computer Numeric Control (CNC), Standard Mill, Lathe, and Drill Press.
The candidate will need to have a through knowledge of fabrication and assembly techniques, tools and equipment, material and shop practices/safety. In addition, this role will need to understand how to operate and set-up a wide variety of machine shop equipment (e.g. Lathe, Milling machine, and Water Jet).
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information.
Desired Experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Water Jets and ability to read and interpret drawings.
Education and/or Certification requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; Certificate of Technical Training is desired.
