ARINC is seeking a highly motivated System Integration/Test Engineer to join our Commercial Aviation’s Solutions division in our Corporate Headquarters office located in Annapolis, MD.
The Aviation Solutions division provides communication products and services for commercial and business airline customers.

This position will perform integration and acceptance testing for a large aviation data communications system. System components in the test environment include routers, network management servers, oracle database servers, real-time applications, and a variety of simulation tools. Develop operational scenarios when reviewing requirements and design, develop test plans and descriptions with clear objectives and traceability, integrate hardware and software components into the system test environment, maintain the test lab and test tools, conduct formal integration and system-level testing, demonstrate functionality to the customer for requirements validation, validate user documentation and deployment plans, prepare well-organized test reports for stakeholder review. Proactively communicate system and test issues clearly with internal and external stakeholders on the project team.

• Three (3) or more years of experience in hardware or software engineering with a minimum of two (2) years experience in applicable engineering fields such as systems engineering, system test, or software development.
• Systems engineering knowledge must include system requirements development or analysis, system design analysis, and operational scenarios development.
• A background in communication system principles and practices is desired.
• Experience developing integration or system-level documentation, creating operational scenarios, and writing test plans.
• Test experience should include performing requirements-based and acceptance testing as a key player on a full lifecycle project team.
• Experience developing and/or using simulation tools/scripts in a system integration test laboratory is required.
• The candidate must have strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills to perform this job.

Desired Experience:
• Knowledge of test methodologies, internetworking protocols, Oracle database, SQL, and/or Perl.

Education Required:
• Typically requires a master’s degree in a technical area or equivalent
• Will consider BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical area with equivalent experience.
