ARINC's Advanced Aviation and Maritime Division Business Unit in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Network Engineer.

In this role, you will analyze network characteristics and recommend procurement, removals, and modifications to the network tools and applications in support of a DoD Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) team. You will evaluate, design and optimize network topologies and site configurations, plan installations, transitions, and cutovers of network components and capabilities. Qualifications Required Experience:
Must have current experience analyzing network characteristics, such as traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput, and the ability to make solid recommendations on next steps regarding potential modifications required, removals, or procurement of network components. Must possess experience designing and optimizing network topologies and site configurations along with designing, executing, and reporting on tests and evaluations.

Education or Certification Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, math, physics or related field desired.

Desired Experience:
Three (3) years in one or more of the following: progressively increasing responsibility in IT Help Desk support, network administration to include portfolio and/or service level management.
Two (2) plus years Test and Evaluation, enterprise software within DoD networks highly desirable. OTD training a plus.
